Where to go ?

The picturesque little mountain village of Monchique is only 3 km away and offers everything for the daily needs , small shops and supermarkets, several galleries and handicraft shops, post office , restaurants and small cafes. There are markets with regional products taking place on 2 Sundays a month and every year in March the village organizes the traditional
“ sausage festival “ ( Feira de Enchidos ).
A 10 km drive brings us into the spa place Caldas de Monchique , well known already since Roman times for its healing thermal baths. The village had been carefully restored and modernized but still breathes the nostalgic charme of the 19 th century , inviting the visitor for a relaxed stroll.
The vibrant ports of Portimão and Lagos with shopping facilities and bars, various golf courses and the wild and unspoilt beaches of the Costa Vincentina are only a 25 minutes drive away. A must see for art lovers is the little gallery village Porco Preta ( 10 km ) offering exhibitions of international artists and handicraft on a regular basis. There is also a bookshop and a lovely restaurant to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine.
